Henry Sheldon Hopkins, Jr., 89
Henry Sheldon Hopkins, Jr., 89 formerly of Ashland, Ohio and Sunset Beach, North Carolina passed away February 23, 2025 at the Inn at Apple Ridge in Richfield.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of the late Henry Sheldon Hopkins Sr. and Audrey (nee Tulley) Hopkins.
He graduated from the University of West Virgina with an undergraduate and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Dow Chemical for a few years and then for General Latex for more than 25 years, managing the plant in Ashland until it was purchased by Dow Chemical Corporation. He retired after over 40 years in the chemical industry.
Sheldon married the love of his life, Constance A. Brown on June 25, 1960. They enjoyed a life with three children and lots of golf at the Ashland Country Club. Sheldon also had a love of computers, working on his first one in 1956.
