Flagstaff, Arizona - Dr. Thomas Drouhard, 77, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 13, following a five-year struggle with renal failure. He was surrounded by close friends and family of caregivers that resided at his home.
Born at Ashland, Ohio on January 12, 1948, Tom grew up on a farm near Loudonville with three brothers, one sister and his parents, the late Warren and Leona (Grosswiller) Drouhard, Sr. He was a 1966 graduate of Loudonville High School, a 1970 graduate in pre-medicine from John Carroll University, Cleveland and a graduate of The Ohio State School of Medicine, Columbus, in 1973. In 1978, following the completion of his internship, residency and surgical training at Columbus area hospitals he accepted a position with the United States Public Health Service, taking a two-year assignment as a general surgeon at the Tuba City Indian Medical Center, Tuba City, Arizona.
