Sonja L. Humburg, 79
Sonja L. Humburg, 79 of Ashland passed away, Wednesday evening, March 19, 2025 in Kingston of Ashland.
She was born on November 27, 1945 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Paul and Nellie (nee Akers) Synuria.
Sonja graduated from Brownsville High School, Class of 1964.
She was a homemaker all of her life.
Sonja was a devoted member of the Mt. Zion Church of God. She was affectionately known by her family as "blankets by nana", as she created beautiful blankets for her entire family. She also enjoyed making jewelry and crafting.
All throughout her life, Sonja was a giving woman who volunteered her time cleaning homes for disabled people.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Humburg of Ashland; three children, Patricia (Larry) Martinez of Wooster, John W. (Lisa) Burleson of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Tabitha (Jeanie) Myers of Martinsburg, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Elisabeth Johnson of Van Wert, Curtis (Matt) Newcombe of Wil
